Yes, you can make French Toast in your air fryer and yes it turns out even better than made in a frying pan! This air fryer recipe is one of my personal favourites and makes enough delicious french toast for 2 in just 15 minutes! Be sure to give this one a go next time you fancy something a little sweet in the morning!

Tips To Make The Perfect Air Fryer French Toast

  • Use stale or slightly dry bread, this will help to ensure your french toast soaks up lots of the delicious egg mixture and is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle!
  • Always preheat your air fryer before adding any food to it. This will help to cook your french toast evenly and quickly.
  • Make sure you use a silicone liner or parchment paper to prevent sticking. If your french toast sticks to the air fryer basket it will be difficult to remove and can ruin the texture of your french toast.
  • And lastly, go wild with toppings! French Toast is such a blank canvas you can get creative when it comes to topping options. From sweet syrups and fruits to savoury nuts and cheese, you can make it as exciting as you like!

Here are some delicious topping suggestions for your Air Fried French Toast

  • Fresh Fruits – For a healthy, sweet and juicy option try topping your french toast with fresh fruits such as berries, mango or banana.
  • Syrup – Nothing beats classic maple syrup! If you are feeling adventurous why not try a flavoured syrup like blackberry or cherry?
  • Nuts And Seeds – Get some crunch going on with your french toast! Chopped nuts, such as almonds, walnuts and pecans or seeds like pumpkin or sunflower are great
  • Nutella – If you always wake up craving something sweet then Nutella is perfect for you! Spread it on your french toast and top it with fresh strawberries!
  • Cheese – If you are looking for something a little more savoury then top your french toast with a slice of cheese and some crispy bacon.
