- Cook in batches if you need to so you don’t overfill your fryer.
- If cooking in batches remember the second batch won’t take quite as long as your fryer is already hot.
- Shake the basket regularly to ensure an even cook.
- Don’t be afraid to try different sauces, seasonings, and spices for a variety of flavours.
- For Best results always let your cauliflower marinade for a couple of hours.
Suggestions For Different Tastes
This cauliflower recipe will give great flavour and texture, it’s perfect served with celery and blue cheese. Made me think about tofu cubes tossed in this sauce and air fried. Next…I substituted sweet and sour sauce for hot sauce, omitted the syrup, and added 1 tsp Italian seasoning. The tofu was amazing! When served with marinara for a dip, cayenne for optional heat, and parmigiana on the side. Next time I’m trying tikka masala sauce. The possibilities are endless. This is a game changer for air-fried cauliflower and tofu too!

How To Make The Perfect Crispy Cauliflower Florets

Step 1
Gather all your ingredients and add everything except the cauliflower to a large mixing bowl, then whisk thoroughly until combined. Add your freshly chopped cauliflower and toss until evenly coated.

Cover the top of the mixing bowl and leave to marinade for 2 hours stirring every 30 minutes to ensure all the pieces are evenly coated.

It's a good idea to preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for around 3 minutes before using it as this allows the air fryer to get up to temperature, ensuring an even cook.
TOP TIP:
With this recipe, there is no need to oil the basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer you may have to cook in 2 batches, as it's important not to overfill your fryer if you want to achieve the perfect crispy cauliflower.

Carefully add your deliciously coated cauliflower florets to your air fryer basket and allow the to cook for 12 to 13 minutes.
Remember not all air fryers are the same so you should regularly shake the basket and check on your cauliflower while it's cooking, allow a few extra minutes if your cauliflower isn't crisped to your liking.
